I am finally back from one of the best experiences of my entire dance career. This past week Darlin and I were in Florida competing in the World Salsa Championships. It was held in Hollywood Florida and took place December 16 through the 20th. Darlin and I had qualified for the semi finals in 2008 at The San Fransisco Championships. Thus, we went directly to the semi-finals. We competed on Thursday night against the other 25 couples from across the globe. There were over 30 different countries represented. Then on Friday afternoon they announced the top ten couples from every category. Darlin and I were called in sixth place which meant we had made top ten in the world. Then on Saturday night we competed in the finals. We nailed our routine and really had a blast on that stage. The energy was incredible! In the end Darlin and I were ranked seventh in the entire world in the on1 category. Here were the ranks of top ten in each division:
